We booked months in advance, however 2 days before we flew out we got asked if we was going to the festival which was just down the road from the place, we told them yes and they then said we would need to pay a £100 deposit per person when we got there. I think £100 per person is a lot of money. Also there's nothing about a deposit on their website which I could find. Also what if we were already staying in Amsterdam prior to coming there and we had no cash card or only enough cash to get us by for the weekend? Luckily enough, my sister in law offered to pay for us but I think if a deposit is required this should be mentioned when booking to prevent it being extra money you have to pay when you get there. Sorry to rant, the staff & accommodation were really nice but a clear notification of the deposit situation would be ideal for all future guests.

Liked: The staff were very accommodating & pleasant to talk to. Good camping facilities such as showers & sinks to wash in are included in the cost. Based in a convenient location next to cycle paths &. Just outside of Alkmaar which is well connected to Amsterdam. The campsite restaurant is also a great place to relax.

The cottages are nice, clean, but not equipped enough. There's free WiFi. You also have to rent towels (which are too small for anyone), beddings and to make the beds yourself. Their policy is that you have to do basic cleaning before you leave or else they charge you extra.
At first they gave us a unit that was previously for smokers and the smell was still there. They sent cleaners which didn't help. After we insisted on a solution they upgraded us to a bigger unit since they were full for the size that we paid for (they dismissed us at first).
Great place.nice sized pitches with water, pool, restaurant, loads for kids to play on and good location for lots of places to visit
Told to pitch on 336, no electricity at the plugin point, after getting scratch ed clearing hedge around post.
No bus service into Alkmaar from site, meals in site restaurant good but a little pricey.
Site mainly for static band and chalet style accommodation, touring pitch es an afterthought.
